The berry picker boy was a return to the past in 2015 for Wendt & Kühn. The berry picker figurines may very well have once been the creative key to all that which followed for the Wendt & Kühn company. They were originally created in 1913. Once the public saw them, the response for these figurines was wildly enthusiastic. Grete Wendt was inundated with orders. That was likely all the incentive she needed to dedicate herself entirely to designing wooden miniatures and, two years later, founding the "M. Wendt & M. Kühn general partnership.
This is one of the three berry pickers. This is the female child and she is approximately 2.5" tall.
