An absolute masterpiece from Werkstätten Flade out of the Erzgebirge region of Germany. This is made in limited quantities. The old apple tree in Autumn was handcrafted with an unbelievable amount of detail. It has the distinctive Flade style. The children surround an old apple tree and are in the midst of gathering apples. The theme, colors and attention to detail make this music box a real special treasure of German folk art. The music works within the box was made by Ruege in Switzerland and has 36 tones. Ruege is one of a few companies remaining which make 36 tone music works for these special boxes. This music box is 7 inches tall and 6 inches wide. A great piece year round.
